You can change a simple pair of heels in a non-permanent way in 3 simple steps.
{1] Find a pair of heels that need a little love
{2} Find a pair of feathers in the same size and color
{3} Find a pair of interesting clip-on earrings
Combine all three on the toe and viola!

Roadtrip: Asheville

This past weekend I went to visit my sister and her fiance in Asheville (they actually live in Weaverville). I hadn't been there since I was a child and holy cow it is AMAZING! The charm and beauty of this part of NC is unreal! Live music everywhere, open market arcade, UNC Asheville, a little house decorating, handmade chips... I can't wait to go back! Here is the photo diary of my trip:

How To: Baby Bathtime Bouquet

I recently decided to take on this crafty idea and promptly found ou how hard it is to "trim" wire flowers, so I can't say I will try this again but it turned out pretty good for this time...

I chose a set of 3 wash cloths and towel and baby wash to make the bouquet:

Roll the wash cloth and secure the bottom with the floral pic and wire.

Add a leaf and wrap with more wire

Then secure with floral tape and continue wrapping the pic about half way down

Repeat for each wash cloth and then add to the oasis in a vase

Baby Shower au Naturale

I recently co-hosted a beautiful baby shower with a very clean, natural theme. My roommate and I hung twine and attached onesies and baby's breath and later decorated the onesies with buttons and felt letters. We drank mimosas, punch and lemonade iced tea from mason jars topped with chalkboard lids and everything was tied with burlap ribbon and fresh flowers. And it was all finished off with a very sweet contribution of wreathes, a diaper cake, punch bowl and 2-tier cake!
