Cabo San Lucas Mexico Part 2

Here are the pics I had to take via my iphone when i gave up and turned it on (still waiting to see that bill...) and captured as much of the amazing weather as possible as we rapidly approach the cooler fall weather:

Summer Scarf

I love a good summer scarf, which in all honesty is really just a cotton or lightweight regular scarf, its a super easy way to add another layer of texture or pattern to an average look:

Cabo San Lucas Mexico Part 1

In my super organized and planned packing I did such a great job that I left the battery to my camera in the charger and didn't realize it until I was well on my way to the airport via Marta. So almost all my part one pics I can't take credit for taking (thanks Kendall!!). Cabo is the vacation I knew about 2 years ago and finally made it to last week - a whole week of pure beauty, culture, food, baby turtles and relaxation!

The District of Columbia

I always enjoy a trip to the Nation's Capital. Its such a beautiful place and I always see something new. Below is a photo diary of my trip for a great friend's wedding:

Travel Document Wallet

I wanted to get one wallet to keep all my things together before my recent trip to Cabo. Unfortunately I could only find a hideous blue one with "princess class" or something terrible embossed on it. So I decided it was the perfect size and I could embellish it and cover the words with colored duct tape. A few interwoven stripes later it was just want I wanted and was completely travel ready!

Lessons Learned

I started this blog as a creative outlet, a diary of my life and style and interests. It really became such an amazing project for me at a time I really needed it!! I chose a blog so I could put all of this out to the world.

I always knew anything posted could be received with criticism or question. I was not, however, prepared to have a post be mocked by my friends. It is completely devastating to have something I said and felt be quoted and mocked and no amount of humility or self-esteem can prepare you for the feeling when you hear you are being laughed at and mocked by people who care about and support you. It's really deflating to find that they don't really understand you at all.

This, while extremely disheartening and hurtful, won't stop me from expressing my thoughts and ideas here, but it did teach me something about people.
